Biography

I specialize in collage. Having gathered and cut out photographs I compose an image to which I sometimes apply paint or another process to finish it. In this way I create abstract or figurative illustrations, often with a touch of humour.

I enjoy the diversity of my work – it takes me from a collage for a magazine article to illustrations for a children’s book or a personal portrait.

Functionality is an important aspect of my work. Illustrations must match the purpose of the publication. Close cooperation with the client, therefore, is essential.

I studied Illustration Design at the Institute of the Arts in Kampen.
